Happy Home Stamp Set

Stampin’ Up! Happy Home Stamp Set & Hearth & Home Framelits Dies

The Happy Home stamp set from Stampin’ Up! coordinates perfectly with the Hearth and Home Framelits Dies.  I love the images in the Happy Home stamp set!  The images of the blossoming tree, the bench, and the little girl flying the kite make me think of my childhood in New Jersey when spring was on its way.  Even though I live in south Florida (the land of eternal summer,) I was raised in south Jersey where four distinct seasons are the norm. When I see the Happy Home stamp set, I can instantly feel and smell the telltale signs of spring.

The Happy Home stamp set is sold at a reduced price when you purchase the stamp set in combination with the Hearth and Home Framelits Dies.  Isn’t that little window adorable?!

I used a piece of paper from the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack to layer on the card.  You really can’t see it clearly in the picture, but the strip of paper that I layered on top of the DSP is Garden Green card stock.  The white sequins are from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit.

Notice the little pink blossoms on the tree?  Don’t get nervous thinking that you’ll have to color in every single blossom.  I used the brush tip of the Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker and just randomly dotted in some of the circles.  I also added a few tiny drops of Dazzling Details to give some glimmer to the blossoms.

I enjoyed making this card because I have the perfect friend to send it to.  I haven’t seen my dearest friend (my friend soulmate, really) in FIVE years.  I know, I know.  It should be illegal to go that long without seeing someone so dear to you.  It’s been a crazy five years though…my husband’s cancer battle, our oldest daughter’s high school graduation, college attendance and college graduation, and our youngest daughter’s high school graduation and college attendance.  Hopefully, she’ll enjoy this Happy Home greeting card as much as I enjoyed making it.
