Easy “Love Blossoms” Greeting Card

“Love Blossoms” Designer Series Paper & Botanicals for You Stamp Set You can make this easy Love Blossoms greeting card in just a few simple steps.  There are 4 each of 12 different designs in the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack which means you can create several looks from just one stack of paper.  (See other designs that use the Love Blossoms paper HERE and HERE.) The “Just for You” saying is from the Botanicals for You stamp set from the current 2016 Sale-a-Bration promotion catalog. Take a closer look at the Blushing Bride satin bow. The Blushing Bride ribbon is part of the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit. I think the bow is the embellishment that makes this card so stunning.  The card doesn’t use any fancy technique or over-the-top styling; it’s just paper, ribbon, one stamp, and Rose Red ink.  However, the result is really breathtakingly beautiful. ____________________________________________________ To make the gate-fold card, don’t panic!  Start with a regular piece of 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ card stock.  Instead of scoring the paper down the middle at 5-1/2″, just score each side along the 4-1/4″ side at 2-1/8″.  It’s that easy!  Cut each piece of Designer Series Paper 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″.  Adhere the sentiment to the right fold of the card so that you can easily open both sides.  Be sure to tie the ribbon to the center piece so that the card will open. 😉 I’m usually heavy on the embellishments when I make a card, but it was a fun break to make an easy card that allows the paper and the ribbon to do all the work. Hello You Thinlits Dies Mother’s Day Card

I love Stampin’ Up!’s Hello You Thinlits Dies!  I used the “Happy” thinlit  and the “Mother’s Day” from the “Crazy About You” photopolymer stamp set to create this fun Mother’s Day card for my neighbor.  You can purchase both items as part of a bundle and save 15%. My neighbor needed four cards, but I made twelve.  Why only make four when they are so fun to make, right?  I am glad I created extra cards, because about an hour after her request, I had another request for four Mother’s Day cards from my daughter’s friend.  I even have a card left over to give to my own mom, which is a rare event!  (I never seem to have a card when I need one!  Why is that???!!!) Remember: Be sure to order the bundle now.  It is available in the 2015 Occasions Catalog, which runs through June 2, 2015.  I don’t know if these items will be available to order in Stampin’ Up!’s new 2015-16 Annual Idea Book and Catalog, so order now! Take a look at other cards I created using the Hello You Thinlits Dies HERE, HERE, and HERE.  You can also read about an easy way to adhere the cut-out to your project.
