Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack: Card #1

Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack I made two pocket cards with Stampin’ Up!’s new Sending Love Designers Series Paper Stack from the 2017 Occasions Catalog.  Pocket cards are so fun to make!  The Sending Love Designers Series Paper Stack is a great way to make a variety of Valentine’s Day cards because the stack contains 48 sheets of paper, 6 each of 8 double-sided designs.  You can mix and match the designs to make several different cards and projects. Today’s card is a traditional “hearts and doily” Valentine’s Day card.  Check back tomorrow for another fun card with a completely different look but made with paper from the same paper collection. You’ll be able to see the versatility in this great paper collection.   Take a look at the different patterns: Here is a slideshow of the items used to create this Valentine’s Day pocket card.  To purchase an item, just click the image and it will direct you to my online store.  Be sure to check back tomorrow for the second pocket card design.   You can slip a gift card or a candy bar inside the pocket card to add to the fun.  Yummy!!!!

Easy Masculine Valentine Card

Easy Masculine Valentine Card Here is an easy masculine Valentine card that you can whip together in just a few minutes.  It’s always a challenge for me to make masculine cards, probably because of the lack of bling that I can use.  However, with this easy masculine Valentine card you’ll see that I was able to sneak in a little bit of bling by adding a couple of sequin hearts. 🙂 To make the card a little more interesting, I used the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to add texture to the front of the card.  Additionally, instead of adhering the airplane and sentiment directly onto the front of the card, I used the Ovals Collection Framelits.  I centered one of the larger ovals on the Smoky Slate card stock and die cut the oval in the center.  If you look closely in the photo below, you’ll be able to see that the red layer and the airplane/sentiment are actually attached to the inside of the card.  More interesting than just a regular card, right? So you see, it IS possible to make a masculine card while still being creative.  What a relief! I also love, love, love the Sky is the Limit stamp set that I used!  Look at the variety of stamps that come in this FREE SET! Yes, I said FREE SET! Just place an order of $50 or more before tax/shipping and you can select the Sky is the Limit stamp set as your Sale-a-Bration promotion set.  Act quickly, though.  Even though Sale-a-Bration runs until March 31st, the Sky is the Limit stamp set is only available until February 15th.  Isn’t that little trailing smoke/heart adorable?! Check out the 2016 Occasions Catalog for more Valentine’s Day products and projects.  Don’t forget about our Annual Catalog, too! (Link in sidebar)  Check out Paper Pumpkin, too!  Take advantage of the current three month/$55 special and not only will you receive three monthly surprise kits in the mail, but you’ll also qualify for a Sale-a-Bration item! Take a look at the slideshow below to see the products that I used to make this easy masculine Valentine card. Also, as you can see from the stamp set, you can easily change the sentiment to make this a birthday card, an encouragement card, or a congratulations card.  So fun! Easy “Love Blossoms” Greeting Card

“Love Blossoms” Designer Series Paper & Botanicals for You Stamp Set You can make this easy Love Blossoms greeting card in just a few simple steps.  There are 4 each of 12 different designs in the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack which means you can create several looks from just one stack of paper.  (See other designs that use the Love Blossoms paper HERE and HERE.) The “Just for You” saying is from the Botanicals for You stamp set from the current 2016 Sale-a-Bration promotion catalog. Take a closer look at the Blushing Bride satin bow. The Blushing Bride ribbon is part of the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit. I think the bow is the embellishment that makes this card so stunning.  The card doesn’t use any fancy technique or over-the-top styling; it’s just paper, ribbon, one stamp, and Rose Red ink.  However, the result is really breathtakingly beautiful. ____________________________________________________ To make the gate-fold card, don’t panic!  Start with a regular piece of 4-1/4″ x 8-1/2″ card stock.  Instead of scoring the paper down the middle at 5-1/2″, just score each side along the 4-1/4″ side at 2-1/8″.  It’s that easy!  Cut each piece of Designer Series Paper 1-7/8″ x 5-1/4″.  Adhere the sentiment to the right fold of the card so that you can easily open both sides.  Be sure to tie the ribbon to the center piece so that the card will open. 😉 I’m usually heavy on the embellishments when I make a card, but it was a fun break to make an easy card that allows the paper and the ribbon to do all the work. Love Blossoms Blushing Bride Glimmer Butterfly Card

Yesterday, I showed you a fun mini treat bag Valentine’s Day card that I made using the new Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack from the 2016 Occasions Catalog from Stampin’ Up!.  Today, I want to show you how you can use the exact same Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper, card stock, ribbon, thinlits dies and embellishments to make a card with a completely different look and feel.  One of the things I love the most about Stampin’ Up! is how all of the products coordinate.  The ink, stamps, paper, and embellishments can be combined in so many different ways to cohesively make a lovely card.         I wish you could see this card in person…the pictures don’t do it justice! I love, love, love the strand of mini pearls that comes in the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit!  To make the center of the butterfly, I snipped off a tiny piece of the connected pearls and adhered them to the glimmer paper with Crystal Effects.  Crystal Effects is a great product to use when you need an adhesive that is clear and strong.  (One time I used Crystal Effects to glue the screw back onto the strap of my purse…it stayed together for years!) So, as I said at the beginning of this post, I used the same products to make today’s card that I used to make yesterday’s card, but the two cards look completely different:                  The reason that I could achieve two different looks is because of the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper Stack. There are twelve different designs in this stack, so the possibilities for creativity are endless. DON’T FORGET THAT IT’S SALE-A-BRATION TIME! Place an order of $50 or more and receive FREE Stampin’ Up! product for every $50 you spend!  Check out the Sale-a-Bration Catalog HERE, and check out the slideshow below to order the products I used to make the mini treat bag in today’s post. Stampin’ Up! Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper Bling

Stampin’ Up!’s new Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper packs just enough punch to add the perfect amount of bling to any greeting card or project.  The Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper is available in the 2016 Occasions Catalog on page 17 as part of the Love Blossoms Collection which included Love Blossoms  Designer Series Paper Stack (the perfect pre-cut size to use with the Mini Treat Bags Thinlits Dies,) the Bloomin’ Love photopolymer  stamp set, and the Love Blossoms Embellishments Kit. I used Stampin’ Up!’s Mini Treat Bags Thinlits Die to make this adorable  Valentine’s Day pocket card.  In addition to the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper that I used to make the pink blingy heart, I also used several of the items that are included in the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit. Notice how I used just a small strip of pearls on the left side along with some Gold Metallic Baker’s Twine.  The Blushing Bride Satin Ribbon is as soft as melting butter and adds a glamorous feel to the card when combined with the gold foil heart doily.  And just look at the sparkly Blushing Bride Candy Dots! I’m planning on sending these mini treat bag cards to my daughters for Valentine’s Day. They are the perfect size to hold gift cards. Shhh! 😉 To order any of the items that I used to make this card, just click on its photo in the slideshow below to add it to your cart. Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog
