Get Well Soon Card Idea Using Balloon Framelits Dies

CHALLENGE:  I have been creating greeting cards for thirteen years, and it is still difficult for me to design Get Well cards.  I always like to have cards on-hand when I need them, which means I like to create cards ahead-of-time instead of waiting for the occasion to arrive.  If I wait, I am always scrambling for supplies and rushing and I end up just throwing stuff together.  Whenever I make Get Well cards, I always like to make the cards gender-neutral like I do when I make Sympathy cards, because I obviously don’t know who the recipient will be.
SOLUTION:  I came up with a design that is fun and simple but also has a lot of dimension and different textures.  This Get Well card design works well not only for men and women, but for kids, too!  You can use this template to help you when you need to create a Get Well card.
This template puts to use several of your Stampin’ Up! products, both current and retired.  I love the Balloon Framelits Dies from the current 2015 Occasions Catalog.  They coordinate perfectly with the Celebrate Today Photopolymer Stamp Set.  (…and you’re lucky because the framelits and the stamp set are sold in a bundle!  buy them together and save 15% HERE!)CURRENT PRODUCTS AVAILABLE TO ORDER:

WHAT IF THE ITEMS SHOWN IN THE EXAMPLE ARE RETIRED?

Don’t fret!

I perused the current catalogs (available for viewing on the sidebar) and chose current products that will work perfectly as substitutes
If you don’t have the retired Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, any Stampin’ Up! Embossing Folder will do, especially the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
Choose a Thick Baker’s Twine color HERE.
Use the beautiful Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper for the balloons.
