Decorative Three-Ring Binder If you are anything like me, you have a million different things going on at the same time. I have a pile a mile high of notes in about twenty different notebooks…no kidding. I decided to condense everything into one three-ring binder to keep in my purse so that I can have my notes with me all the time. Of course I couldn’t use just any three-ring binder; I had to make myself a decorative three-ring binder. Since these are the final few days of the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog, I decided to use the retiring Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper to decorate the binder. I filmed myself making the decorative three-ring binder so that you could see for yourselves just how easy it is to make, but for some reason my computer keeps telling me that my files are corrupted. Go figure. I’ll try to do my best to write the directions while I uncorrupt my files. Start with a binder that has the plastic “clear view” sleeve Measure the size of the clear sleeve Cut the Designer Series Paper 1/4″ shorter than the size of the sleeve Decorate with embellishment, but be sure to use flat items That’s it! Soooo easy, right??? In addition to running my Stampin’ Up! business, I am also heavily involved with Cosmetics for a Cause, a non-profit charity that collects and donates cosmetics to women and girls in need. I have so many notes and paperwork and it sure is nice to finally have a “classy catch-all” binder to keep everything organized. You should gather up your retiring Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper and make some decorative three-ring binders, too. You can make the small size (7″ x 9″) or the regular size. The best part is that you can use any embellishments that you want to make your decorative three-ring binder all your own to fit your personal style.
Paper Pumpkin Kits Are Perfect For Kids! Did you know that Paper Pumpkin Kits are perfect for kids? I wanted to see just how easy and convenient Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Pumpkin Kits really are, so I put the March 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit to the test. I enlisted my six-year-old nephew to help me assemble two cards from the kit and as you will see in the video we recorded, he enjoyed every minute of making cards with me. It was a wonderful experience that he keeps talking about and wants to do over and over and over again! You have to pay close attention to what he says around the 8:45 mark when I show him that one of the pieces in the kit is a sticker. I died! Also, listen to the story he tells at the end of the video and you will see and hear for yourself what a wonderful little boy he is. I can’t wait until we can film our next video! Be sure to subscribe to Paper Pumpkin so you can make the kits over the summer with your kids! What is so wonderful about the Paper Pumpkin Kits is that each box contains everything you need to complete the project. It is a perfect activity for long car rides and rainy days. Click HERE to subscribe and find out for yourself that Paper Pumpkin Kits are perfect for kids! (Remember that the kits contain small parts that could be choking hazards for small children and Stampin’ Up! has not officially announced that Paper Pumpkin Kits are perfect for kids. This is my personal opinion based on my own experience. Be sure that you provide adult supervision.)
Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set I’m so thrilled that Stampin’ Up!’s Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set will NOT be retiring at the end of the catalog order period on May 31st. Woo hoo! That means we all get at least another year to create cards and projects with the deliciously delightful images in the Sprinkles of Life set. Three items that will be retiring on May 31st, however, are the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, the Pool Party Glitter Ribbon, and the Dazzling Details Glitter Adhesive that I used to create this adorably yummy card. I’m also thrilled that the Tree Builder Punch, which I used to punch out the scoops of ice cream, will be back in the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog. I don’t know about you, but I eat ice cream EVERY DAY…it is my main source of nourishment! Anything that has to do with ice cream makes me happy, so the fact that we get to use the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set for one more year is wonderful news! If you love, love, love the delicious color combinations of Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pool Party, Soft Suede, Watermelon Wonder, and Whisper White that coordinate with the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, be sure to order of few packs of the paper before the end of the month. Here are a few more cards that I made with the Birthday Bouquet Paper: …and the Tree Builder Punch… …and the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set: Off to eat some ice cream..with a cupcake!!! 🙂 Supply List:
DIY Business Note Cards Did you know that Stampin’ Up! offers the perfect products for you to create DIY business note cards? I created these business note cards for a charity that my daughter founded when she was sixteen years old called Cosmetics for a Cause. She needed some cute and simple note cards to use whenever she has to drop a thank you card in the mail. The quality of Stampin’ Up!’s Whisper White Card Stock and Whisper White Envelopes are perfect for what she wanted. Of course I had to add some bling and some embellishments because I just couldn’t help myself! But that is the beauty of DIY, isn’t it? The ability to add a personal touch that no printing company can offer is a HUGE benefit of making your own business note cards. My daughter hired the wonderful Emily Fogelman of Emily Fogelman Designs to create a stunning logo. To create the cards, all I did was copy and paste the logo into the center of the card stock so that two cards printed on one piece of paper. On the back of the card I put the address, phone, and website address. Check out the cute envelopes, too! I wish you could all feel the quality of our Whisper White Envelopes! I don’t know what word would adequately describe how they feel…butter? smoothe? classy? I don’t know! (The airplane is there to cover the address of the recipient, just FYI) Sure, it’s so easy to just send a thank you email. Anyone is capable of that. However, who wouldn’t want to receive a hand-addressed, hand-written thank you note in the mail, and a DIY business note card to boot? Your clients will certainly remember you, and in the case of Cosmetics for a Cause, it is important that the clients remember. Speaking of Cosmetics for a Cause, be sure to visit the site HERE to read more about the charity and the good that it does for women in need. If you have any new makeup that you aren’t using, please consider sending it to Cosmetics for a Cause and the lovely volunteers will make sure that your products are given to an organization that helps women in distressed situations. Here is a quick look at the supplies I used to create these DIY business note cards. Order the supplies and make your own, or send me an email or leave a comment and I can make them for you! If you decide to make your own, be sure to add some embellishments and bling to really make your business note cards stand out!!
