Stamp Review Crew “Lift Me Up”

Stamp Review Crew “Lift Me Up” Friends!  If you’re following along with this week’s Stamp Review Crew , you’ve arrived here from Betty Traciak’s blog.  This weeks review focuses on the Lift Me Up Stamp Set from the 2017 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.  I LOVE this set!  Not only are the images and the sentiments wonderful and versatile, but the Lift Me Up stamp set has a coordinating Thinlits set, too!  The Up & Away Thinlits Dies can be purchased separately, or as a bundle with the Lift Me Up stamp set at a 10% discount.  Woo hoo! The sentiments can be used for so many occasions, which makes the Lift Me Up stamp set such a great set to add to your collection.  Here are a few: birthday graduation general congratulations Valentines’ Day weddings sympathy get well thank you thinking of you My card today focuses on the “Love Is In the Air” sentiment to demonstrate that this saying can be used for a wedding shower card, a baby shower card, an engagement card, or an “I Love You” card.  So versatile! The card above uses the large balloon stamp along with the sentiment, while the card below uses the large balloon die along with the sentiment. Here is a slideshow of the items I used to create today’s cards.  The Up and Away Designer Series Paper is FREE as part of the current Sale-a-Bration promotion.  If you spend $50, you can order it for free.  Woo hoo!!!!!!!  To order any of the products, just click on one of the slides and you will be redirected to my online Stampin’ Up! store. stampin up cool treats

Stampin Up Cool Treats

Stampin Up Cool Treats I know the chances are pretty high that it’s probably snowing wherever you are now.  The last thing you want to think about is a cool treat when all you want is a nice hot cup of cocoa!  But since I showed you how you could use the Stampin’ Up! Cool Treats bundle in the Valentine’s Day card I made yesterday, I wanted to show you a little tip today.  It only takes about a minute, and it will make your ice cream scoops and popsicles look really yummy!! Take a look at my short video to see how I used a Stampin’ Sponge and the Peekaboo Peach In-Color Classic Pad to make the scoop of ice cream really “pop.” Like I stated in the video, this technique isn’t limited to the ice cream dies.  You can use the Stampin’ Sponges and ink to hide oops and add dimension to any die-cut shape.  It’s easy and makes your shapes look even better! Here is a closer look at the scoops.  Notice the darker edges. To order any of the supplies I used to make this card, click on the photo in the slide show below to visit my online store.  Thanks for looking! Cool Treats bundle, so I’m sure I’ll be making many more cards!!

Cool Treats Stampin’ Up: Valentine’s Day Card #2

Cool Treats Stampin’ Up! Yesterday, I showed you a traditional “hearts and doily” Valentine’s Day card using one of the designs from the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack from Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Occasions Catalog.  Today’s card uses a paper design from the same pack of paper, but the card has a flirty and fun modern look.  The Cool Treats Stampin’ Up! Photopolymer Bundle is perfect to achieve this fun look!! I love the fun polka dot design from the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack! It’s fun to make non-traditional Valentine’s Day cards because let’s face it, we don’t want everyone to be our Valentine, right?  Today’s “You’re Sweet” card is perfect to acknowledge the fun holiday without being too mushy or romantic.  In addition to a Valentine’s Day card, today’s card also showcases the prints included in the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack that don’t have anything to do with love or with Valentine’s Day.  Polka dots can be used for any occasion! I love, love, love the stamp sets that are included in the new Cool Treats Photopolymer Stamp Set from the new 2017 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.   I also love that it is sold as a bundle with the Frozen Treats Framelits Dies.  The stamp set has 36 stamps and the framelits has 17 dies.  That is a TON of stuff to use to create!!!!  When you purchase both as a bundle, you save 10%.  At $48.50, all you need to do is add some ribbon or adhesive and you’ll be at $50, which means you’ll qualify to order a  FREE item from the Sale-a-Bration brochure!  Woo hoo! Don’t those scoops of ice cream look so yummy?! Check out the little cherry!  It looks tedious to make, and I’ll be honest, at first it was.  However, I discovered a really easy technique that makes it a breeze to make the cherry.  Here is what you do: stamp the red cherry, but don’t stamp the stem use the cherry/stem die framelit die to cut the cherry/stem color in the stem with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker Yes, it’s that easy!  I used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the cherry to the ice cream. Below is a slide show of all the items I used to create this adorable card.  Click on an image in the slide show to link to my online store.  Be sure to subscribe to receive email updates whenever I post a new project.  It’s free, and all you have to do is enter your email address in the box at the top of my sidebar. sending love designer series paper stack

Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack: Card #1

Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack I made two pocket cards with Stampin’ Up!’s new Sending Love Designers Series Paper Stack from the 2017 Occasions Catalog.  Pocket cards are so fun to make!  The Sending Love Designers Series Paper Stack is a great way to make a variety of Valentine’s Day cards because the stack contains 48 sheets of paper, 6 each of 8 double-sided designs.  You can mix and match the designs to make several different cards and projects. Today’s card is a traditional “hearts and doily” Valentine’s Day card.  Check back tomorrow for another fun card with a completely different look but made with paper from the same paper collection. You’ll be able to see the versatility in this great paper collection.   Take a look at the different patterns: Here is a slideshow of the items used to create this Valentine’s Day pocket card.  To purchase an item, just click the image and it will direct you to my online store.  Be sure to check back tomorrow for the second pocket card design.   You can slip a gift card or a candy bar inside the pocket card to add to the fun.  Yummy!!!!

Playful Pals Stamp Set

Playful Pals Stamp Set Welcome!  If you are following along with this week’s Stamp Review Crew “Playful Pals” stamp set review, you’ve arrived at my blog from Tanya’s blog. I really love the versatility of the 50 (yes, I said FIFTY!) stamps in the Playful Pals stamp set.  Even though the stamps are intended to create animals, I wanted to come up with an alternate use. I looked at the images on the cover of the stamp set and thought that the pieces that are meant to be elephant ears also looked like angel wings.  My daughter mentioned that the triangle shape would be perfect for the angel’s body.  This card turned out to be one of my favorites of all time! In addition to the Playful Pals stamp set, I also used items from the new 2017 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.  I especially love the sentiment, “Just a Note to Lift Your Spirits,” from the Lift Me Up stamp set in the new catalog.  It’s such an appropriate saying to pair with the angel. I think the color combinations of Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, Sweet Sugarplum, and Very Vanilla that are part of the Falling In Love Designer Series Paper are just heavenly!  🙂  You can view the paper HERE. I used the smallest pearls from the Pearl Basic Jewels to create a simple crown for the angel’s head. If you’ve looked at the Playful Pals stamp set in the catalog and thought it wasn’t for you, think again!  With 50 different stamps, the possibilities of images that you can create are endless! Thanks for visiting!  Be sure to subscribe to my blog to receive free email updates whenever I post a new project.  Have fun visiting the next blog on this week’s Stamp Review Crew “Playful Pals” stamp set blog hop!
