Spider Web Doilies from Stampin’ Up!

You guys are going to love the  adorable Spider Web Doilies from Stampin’ Up!  They will be available September 1st and are found in the new 2015 Holiday Catalog.  (If you would like a copy of the catalog, send me an email at stampingwithcharlene@gmail.com or leave a comment below and I will send you one.) As you can see from the project I created, each doily can be cut apart and used in different ways.  I used the center of the doily to decorate the outside of the mini candy gift bag. I used one of the webs to create a little skeleton body, and the fleur de lis as the skeleton arms.  The googly eyes make the little bodies come to life. Normally, I would say they are too cute to eat.  However, chocolate is involved.  Need I say more? 🙂 Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Envelope Punch Board by Stampin’ Up!: Notecard Holder/Part 3

You can read about the cute gift bag I created to house these cute note cards and envelopes HERE and HERE.  Today I am going to share with you how I created the 3″ x 3″ notecards and coordinating envelopes. The notecards were super easy: cut a piece of Sahara Sand Cardstock 3″ x 6″ score at 3″ cut a piece of Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ cut a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ stamp sentiment and add embellishments I created two different styles of coordinating envelopes.  For one style, I used a sheet of Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper.  For the second style, I used the new Neutrals Envelope Paper from the 2015-2016 Annual Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalog.  The new Envelope Paper is wonderful!  The paper is thin and easy to work with to create envelopes quickly with Stampin’ Up’s Envelope Punch Board. If you look closely at the bottom left of the punch board, there is a convenient measurement grid that shows you the correct size and scoring place to make an envelope based on different-sized cards.  You can create up to 66 different sizes of envelopes! ***** Next week I will show you more fun project ideas for items from the new 2015-2016 Annual Stampin’ Up! Idea Book and Catalog.  Can you say “Butterflies??!!”   Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Gift Bag Punch Board by Stampin’ Up!: Notecard Holder/Part 2

In my last post, I showed you a cute gift bag that I created by taking apart a candy box and tracing it onto Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper.  Here is another look at the gift bag, with a little extra bling added.  I used the flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. If you don’t happen to have a candy box laying around and don’t want to be bothered with tracing and cutting, you don’t have to worry!  Stampin’ Up! has a great product that allows you to make your very own gift bags in several different sizes!  Meet the Gift Bag Punch Board! The Gift Bag Punch Board allows you to make bags 2″ deep, up to 3-5/8″ wide, and anywhere from 4″ to 10″ tall.  Once you’ve made the bag, you can make all kinds of goodies to put inside. I made a set of six 3″ x 3″ notecards using the brand new Tin of Cards stamp set.  The Tin of Cards Photopolymer Stamp Set is one of my favorites!  Just look at all of the sentiments and the different fonts that are included with this 20 piece photopolymer set: Isn’t it a great set?! Here is a look at one of the cards and its cute matching envelope.  Come back tomorrow to learn more about how I created these.  So fun!
