Party Wishes Stamp Set Look at the fun card you can create with the Party Wishes Stamp Set from the It’s My Party Collection in the 2016 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog! Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who attended the Fall 2015 OnStage Global Event created the first part of the card – the Designer Series Paper, the Happy Birthday sentiment, the punched balloon, cupcakes, and candle, and the Baker’s Twine – during one of the event presentations. When I returned home, I added what we created to the Mint Macaron card stock to finish off the project. You’ll notice that I used the Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to add dimension and texture to the Mint Macaron card base. (Take a look at the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that is part of the It’s My Party Suite on the card I showed you yesterday HERE. Dimension on a card is fabulous, isn’t it?!) In my post yesterday, I also mentioned that one of the reasons why I love the Party Wishes Stamp Set and the entire It’s My Party Collection is because the images, patterns, and colors are perfect for creating unisex birthday cards. I made today’s card a little more feminine by adding half of a Tea Lace Paper Doily to the bottom of the card to show you an easy alternative. Let’s talk about the adorable cupcakes, balloons, and candle, shall we??? How cute are they?!?!?!?! I love them! After I stamped the images, I used the corresponding punches from the Party Punch Pack (sold in a bundle with the Party Wishes Stamp Set HERE) to punch them. I love, love, love these new punches! You’ll notice that the punches punch the exact size of each image – there is NO border! You get a perfectly punched image every time without having to worry about making sure the border is even around the entire image. Yea!! NOW is the time to order the products in the It’s My Party Collection! For every $50 you spend, you can order FREE Stampin’ Up! products from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. Woo Hoo!!! Free stuff!!

One of the fun parts of attending a Stampin’ Up! event is the chance we get to win free product. I was lucky enough to win this really fun set called “Acorny Thank You.” Of course there is a coordinating Acorn Builder Punch that I just couldn’t live without! Look at how fun: The 1-1/4″ Crumb Cake Grosgrain Ribbon takes this card’s design over the top. And don’t you just adore the mini wooden leaf accents? They are part of the “Into the Woods Elements” pack available in the 2015 Holiday Catalog. Just look at these lovely fall colors! I know I might be rushing things. After all, we have four weeks left of summer. And believe me, I am going to make the most of these long hot days. However, I thought I would give you a little taste of what is right around the corner. Here’s a short video on how I came up with this creation. You guys! I am just dying over the fun new products that I used to make this card! I have waited a really long time for a window frame die, and Stampin’ Up! really hit it out of the park with the new Hearth and Home Thinlints Dies. Am I right? I love how spooky the window looks with the Black Glimmer Paper. Why not just take a look at my short video and listen to me explain the products I used and how everything came together! Let’s take another look at all of the textures and layers. This is really one of my most favorite cards ever! I don’t want to part with it!! What to do? P.S. Check out my EVENTS page. I am in love with the colors and patters that are included in Stampin’ Up!’s Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack. Remember the butterfly card I created and showed you HERE? This card is the exact same layout, but instead of using the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack, I decided to use the Pretty Petals DSP Stack instead because I think the designs are luscious! I love the look of elegance that the Basic Black brings into the mix. Isn’t the brick wall embossing a fun background element?! I can’t get enough of it! There are so many fun possibilities that you can do with it. I have few things up my sleeve for Halloween and Christmas. Can you wait that long?! I have been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for so long that I find myself thinking in “Stampin’ Up!” language. I associate the colors that I see around me every day with their closest Stampin’ Up! counterpart. Last Sunday, I found myself telling my sister-in-law that I liked her “So Saffron” pants. Pacific Point is both “Duke” and “Barnard” blue to me. (I am so happy that my daughters’ colleges are the same colors. It helps my OCD. But that is a story for a different day.) As I type this, my daughter is wearing her new Smoky Slate t-shirt. The inspiration for my latest card comes from my daughter’s apartment. I had the pleasure of helping her move in and decorate it last year. She started from scratch without any furniture; it was a wonderful blank canvas for me! The color scheme ended up being yellow, gray, and white. Luckily, I am not color-blind. However, when it comes to gray and silver, I sometimes have a difficult time distinguishing between the two! To create the striped center for the flower, I used the 1″ circle punch and the diagonally-striped stamp from the Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set. And, yes, I know that I attached the Crushed Curry piece wrong-side-up! I wanted to go with the de-bossed look of the Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to change things up a bit. (and maybe I accidentally got some black ink on the other side. oops.) Come back tomorrow for another color combo that was inspired by something I see every day. Plus, look at what starts tomorrow!
