Rose Garden Thinlits I’m so glad I decided to purchase the Rose Garden Thinlits and the coordinating Rose Wonder Stamp Set! It took me awhile to figure out how to incorporate the rose images into my card-making style, but today’s card represents me in a lot of ways. I love layers and I loved layering the die-cut roses for today’s card. I think the layers give the card the right dramatic presence that I aim to provide with each card I make. Why be dull and boring when you can be chic and dramatic, right?! That’s how I like to approach my card designs and my fashion choices. I wouldn’t normally choose flowers and roses in my outfit choices, but I could make both things work with the right accessories. I feel like I was able to fall in love with the Rose Garden Thinlits because I was able to incorporate the coordinating colors of the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper with the die-cut roses and the fun little pearl. The deep shade of purple spoke to me, too. (As a lifelong Donny Osmond fan, I love anything purple! Plus, the outfit that I wore to church on Sunday reminds me of this card.) Speaking of being dramatic, Sahara Sand is the brown tone that officially coordinates with the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper, but I chose to use the richer tones of Tip Top Taupe for my card base and for one of the rose dies. And speaking of the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper, be sure to check out this post where I specifically feature the Blooms and Bliss DSP. The Rose Garden Thinlits and the coordinating Rose Wonder Stamp Set are great additions to your stamping collection. Not only can you die cut the rose images, you can also die cut leaves and the frame for the sentiment. Speaking of the sentiment, look at all of the different occasions that the stamp set covers: Take a look at the slideshow to see the products I used to create today’s “With Sympathy” card. Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! Here is another look that you can create using the Birthday Bouquet DSP from Stampin Up. With this Sympathy card shown below, I paired the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper with the new Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper that is available until February 15th in the current 2016 Sale-a-Bration Catalog. I have to admit that at first, I wasn’t too impressed with the marbleized designs. However, when I saw the paper in-person, I fell in love with it. The Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper has a marbleized look on one side and a watercolor wash on the other side. You can view all of the designs and color combinations on my Stampin’ Up! Catalog page HERE. You can order the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper for free with an order of $50 or more before tax/shipping. I also love how the new Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper that I used to die-cut the butterfly coordinates with the Designer Series Papers. A Sympathy card is never a fun thing to send or to receive, but with the wonderfully calm color combinations of this card, there can be a little piece of sunshine during a sad time. __________________ Click on a photo in the slideshow below to place the item in your shopping cart on my Stampin’ Up! ordering page.
