Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies Today is the first day of summer for the rest of the world, but where I live in south Florida, we experience summer year-round. Not only does summer equal fun in the sun, but summer also means weddings! We have already attended three weddings and we have two more to go. I created today’s wedding card using Stampin’ Up!’s new Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies. I love these new floral dies! Look at how gorgeous they are. It’s like creating your own doilies. They might just be my most favorite Stampin’ Up! Thinlits Dies ever. In addition to the dies, I love the coordinating Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper. I don’t think I have ever created a card using the navy and white color scheme. Just look at the details in the dies! They are super easy to create using the Big Shot and the Precision Base Plate. The Precision Base Plate is a must with intricate dies like the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies. The Precision Base Plate makes the detailed cuts with ease and makes it easy for the tiny pieces to pop right out. In addition to using navy and white, I also used a technique that I haven’t used in ages: heat embossing. Look closely at the “Wedding Wishes” sentiment. I used silver embossing powder and the heat tool to create the embossed tag. (The sentiment is from the fabulous Rose Wonder Photopolymer Stamp Set and the tag is a die from the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies. All items are pictured below and are available to order. Just click on the pictures.) I hope you enjoy your first days of summer and that you create some fabulous wedding cards with your Stampin’ Up! products!
Make Cards Quickly and Easily with Project Life I will be the first to admit that I am not a scrapbooker. When the scrapbook craze hit more than a decade ago, I was not on board. I did make a few scrapbooks, but I certainly did not become obsessed. If you are like me and never drank the scrapbooking Kool Aid, you probably look at the Project Life scrapbook offerings from Stampin’ Up! and just flip the pages. After all, if you aren’t a scrapbooker, why would you need to waste your time looking at the scrapbooking supplies when there is an entire catalog FULL of stamp sets, card stock, and embellishments for your card-making and paper crafting obsessions, right? WRONG! I want to tell you how you can make cards quickly and easily with Project Life Card Collections and Project Life Accessories Packs!! It’s so easy that I created today’s cards in just a few minutes with items from the Project Life Moments Like These Card Collection and the Project Life Moments Like These Accessory Pack, two items which I am happy to say were carried over from last year’s Annual Catalog to the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog. I really love this simple yet elegant “Hello” card. The hints of Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron make the heart in the center of the card pop. We attended a wedding a few days ago and I didn’t know what to do with the engagement photo that was included along with the invitation. Chloe has been a part of our lives for eighteen years, so I wanted to do something special. I’m going to mail this card to her once she is settled into her new home with her new husband. I like the play on the word “captured” that is pre-printed on the card! “Captured” meaning the photo and moment were captured, and “captured” meaning their hearts are captured. So cute! I can’t wait until my order of new products arrives! There is a wonderful new feature to Stampin’ Up!’s Project Life offerings that I can’t wait to share with you!! Until then, take a look at some of the other cards I made quickly and easily with Project Life:
Love Blossoms Wedding Cards Wedding season is upon us! We have already attended one wedding and we have three more so far to attend this year. That means three more wedding showers, too. That’s a lot of cards! I made two different wedding cards using Stampin’ Up!’s Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper. Both of the Love Blossoms Wedding Cards that I created use the Love Blossoms Suite from the 2016 Occasions Catalog. For the wedding card (on the left) I used Blushing Bride as the main color and for the shower card I used Rose Red. I wish you guys could see these cards in person! They are full of texture because of the Tea Lace Paper Doilies, the Metallic Foil Doilies, the Whisper White Baker’s Twine, and the pearls from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit. Heads up! The Tea Lace Paper Doilies, the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper, and the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit are retiring on May 31st, so be sure to order these items NOW before they sell out and are gone for good. To purchase any of the products shown, just click on the images in the slideshow below. LOVE BLOSSOMS WEDDING CARDS: Look closely at the wedding card above on the left. Notice the white heart? I used the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlints Die to add one more layer of dimension. I used the Bloomin’ Love Photopolymer Stamp Set on both cards. Luckily, the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits Die and the Bloomin’ Love Stamp Set will be returning in the new 2016-2017 Annual Catalog. Woo hoo!! I love the entire Love Blossoms Suite of products. I have made several cards with the products from the Love Blossoms collection.
