Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set I’m so thrilled that Stampin’ Up!’s Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set will NOT be retiring at the end of the catalog order period on May 31st. Woo hoo! That means we all get at least another year to create cards and projects with the deliciously delightful images in the Sprinkles of Life set. Three items that will be retiring on May 31st, however, are the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, the Pool Party Glitter Ribbon, and the Dazzling Details Glitter Adhesive that I used to create this adorably yummy card. I’m also thrilled that the Tree Builder Punch, which I used to punch out the scoops of ice cream, will be back in the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog. I don’t know about you, but I eat ice cream EVERY DAY…it is my main source of nourishment! Anything that has to do with ice cream makes me happy, so the fact that we get to use the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set for one more year is wonderful news! If you love, love, love the delicious color combinations of Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Pool Party, Soft Suede, Watermelon Wonder, and Whisper White that coordinate with the Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, be sure to order of few packs of the paper before the end of the month. Here are a few more cards that I made with the Birthday Bouquet Paper: …and the Tree Builder Punch… …and the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set: Off to eat some ice cream..with a cupcake!!! 🙂 Supply List:
Bookmark Card Template and Tutorial My last post was full of pictures of a bookmark card that I created several years ago. Today’s post includes the bookmark card template and tutorial. Even though it’s Template Tuesday, I’m providing the template to all of my readers today, not just my email subscribers. To get started, you’ll want to watch the video, download the template, and most of all…have fun! ________________________________ 1) download the template HERE 2) cut the bookmark case 4-1/4″ x 7-3/4″ 3) score the case at 2″ and 4″ 4) cut the bookmark piece 1-7/8″ x 7-3/4″ 5) I also used the following supplies: _____________________________________ I’ve created different versions of this card over the years. This slider bookmark card is sized differently, but the overall concept is the same as the card in the YouTube video. You can see a larger version using Stampin’ Up!’s Sprinkles of Life stamp set HERE, along with a tutorial that includes the different measurements.

I created a slider bookmark card to showcase this year’s Stampin’ Up! stamp set to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. Below is a picture tutorial of the measurements. (You can see the original post HERE.) Step One / The Outside Pocket: 1) Score a piece of 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper at 3″ 2) To make the ovals’ frames, die cut the Designer Series Paper using the smallest oval and second smallest oval like shown in the photo below. Cut two and set aside for later. 3) To make the oval cuts in the outside pocket, die-cut the first oval with the smallest oval die so that the top of the oval is at approximately 1-1/2″ down from the top of the DSP 4) To make the second oval, use the smallest oval die so that the top of the oval is at approximately the 2-1/2″ mark down from the top of the DSP Step Two / The Inside Piece: 1) Cut the inside bookmark piece 2-1/2″ x 6-1/2″ 2) Decorate the very top of the bookmark however you would like! Step Three / The Ice Cream and Cone: 1) Stamp and cut out two ice cream cones 2) Stamp and punch six ice creams (two each of three different colors) 3) Adhere the oval frames that you die-cut in step one to the ovals on the outside pocket 4) Play around with the spacing of the cones and the ice creams so they fit the oval cut-puts 5) Adhere pieces with Glue Dots 6) Decorate ice cream to your liking! That’s all! You did it! Leave a comment with a link to your version of the slider bookmark card in the comments section so we can all see!
UPDATE: The Slider Bookmark Tutorial can be found HERE. The Making a Difference Program: Stampin’ Up! will donate $3.00 to Ronald McDonald House Charities for every Sprinkles of Life stamp set that is sold during the 2015-2016 catalog year. Since 2003, Stampin’ Up! has donated more than $1,000,000 through its “Making a Difference” program by partnering with Ronald McDonald House. If you have been looking for a way to offer service to others and to your community, what better way to help than to combine your desire to give back with your love for creativity? How You Can Help: I created a slider bookmark card to offer you a sneak-peek at the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and some of the new 2015-2017 In-Colors. Isn’t that little scoop of ice cream adorable? The best part? There is a coordinating punch that goes along with this stamp set so you can perfectly punch the scoops of ice cream and the cherry, along with other stamps from the set. Once the new 2015-2016 catalog goes live on June 2nd, the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and the coordinating Tree Builder Punch should be the top two items on your order! (you can view the links now on my demonstrator business website, but you will not be able to place them in your cart until they go live.) The Stamp Set and Punch: Just look at all the fun designs in the 22-piece Sprinkles of Life stamp set. A Personal Story: My dear friend, Cindy, knows firsthand of the wonderful services provided by Ronald McDonald House. Immediately after she gave birth to her daughter, Ashley, Cindy was able to recover at Ronald McDonald House. Her daughter was born with Spina Bifida via C-Section. Immediately after she was born, Ashley was taken to a children’s hospital for surgery. Cindy was taken to the Ronald McDonald House associated with the children’s hospital to recover from her C-Section. Cindy was so thankful that she was able to recover at a location that was close to her new baby. She was able to visit Ashley every day. Thank you, Stampin’ Up!, for your part in helping Ronald McDonald House Charities, and for providing a way for your demonstrators and our customers to be a part of “Making a Difference.” Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog
