Stamp Review Crew: Cool Treats Stamp Set Welcome to this week’s Stamp Review Crew: Cool Treats Stamp Set. The Stampin’ Up! Cool Treats Stamp Sets and its coordinating Frozen Treats Framelits Dies are two of my favorites from the 2017 Stampin’ Up Occasions Catalog. Today, I’ve created two different cards that show the use of all of the products in the entire “Cool Treats Suite.” You can also view another Cool Treats card I created HERE. If you are following along with this week’s Stamp Review Crew, you’ve arrived here from Charlet Mallett’s blog. One of the best parts about the Cool Treats Stamp Set is that there are so many wonderful coordinating products that go along with the stamp set. For the “Happiest Birthday” gate-fold card, I used the Cool Treats Stamp Set, the Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the Frozen Treats Framelits Dies. For the card below, I used ALL of the items in the Cool Treats Suite: Cool Treats Stamp Set Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper Frozen Treats Framelits Dies Tasty Treats Designer Washi Tape Sprinkles Embellishments The Tasty Treats Washi Tape and the Sprinkles Embellishments add so much charm to your cards and projects. I just want to eat the cards! The ice cream reminds me of my childhood summer days in New Jersey. We would play in the sprinklers outside all day and then cool ourselves off with popsicles or yummy custard from the custard stand. I love when art imitates life, don’t you? I’ve created the slide show below to make ordering easier for you. All of the products I used to create today’s cards are shown below. Click on a slide to order, but HURRY! Many of the items are retiring at the end of May, and are offered at reduced prices. Things are selling out quickly! You don’t want to miss out! Stamp Review Crew: Rose Wonder Stamp Set Welcome! If you are following along, you’ve arrived from Sue Plote’s blog. Today’s Stamp Review Crew is all about one of my favorites! The Rose Wonder Stamp Set has so many sentiments that you will definitely use this set all the time. Occasions: birthday wedding sympathy thanks friendship encouragement I’ve been in bed most of the week with the flu. You know I’m really sick when I don’t feel up to stamping. In fact, that is how my family gauges how sick I am – “is she stamping? no? she must REALLY be sick!” Luckily, I created some cards with the Rose Wonder Stamp set a few months ago, so let’s revisit those cards today as part of this week’s Stamp Review Crew blog hop. On the “Wedding Wishes” card, I embossed the sentiment to give the card bling. But do you see what I mean? Look at the variety of events that are covered with this set: Not only is the Rose Wonder Stamp Set full of wonderful sentiments, it is a photopolymer set, which is my favorite type of stamp to use! Why, you ask? Photopolymer stamps: * Are totally transparent for perfect image placement. * Have just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time. * Cling perfectly to Stampin’ Up!’s clear blocks so you don’t have to worry about slipping. * Save space—you need only one set of blocks for all your photopolymer stamps (blocks sold separately). * Come packaged in cases with images on the spine for easy storage and quick reference. Another fabulous advantage to owning the Rose Wonder Stamp Set is that you can also purchase the coordinating Rose Garden Thinlits Dies. Win! Thanks for visiting! Be sure to check out the other fabulous creations on this week’s Stamp Review Crew blog hop!!!!
Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper It’s Sale-a-Bration time at Stampin’ Up!, so to celebrate, this week’s Stamp Review Crew feature was a free-for-all for the members of the Crew to come up with whatever we wanted to create with items from the Sale-a-Bration brochure. Coloring is such a fad right now, so I was thrilled when I saw the “Inside the Lines” Designer Series Paper that is offered as a free item during Sale-a-Bration with a $50 purchase. I haven’t personally jumped on the coloring trend because I find most of the pages too detailed for my liking. However, the “Inside The Lines Designer Series Paper” solves that problem for me. There are two paper designs with large images, and one paper design with lots of flowers that aren’t too small. It’s been a long time since I colored, and it was so relaxing. We just converted a bedroom into my craft room, and there was a tiny space on the wall that was screaming for a picture. I decided this section of design would be perfect. One important tip that I can offer when you color (in case it’s been years since you’ve colored, too!) is to start off by outlining each color section as shown below. By doing this, you will be able to avoid accidentally coloring parts of the picture the wrong color. Even though there are big areas to color on this design, there are some itty-bitty parts, too. By outlining, you’ll have a much better shot at getting it right! I am not an artist. I don’t know anything about shading and all of that artist stuff. I copied what I’ve seen others do by using light and dark shades on the same image, so I used the Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker to color the mountain tops, and the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to color the mountains. You can purchase individual Stampin’ Write Markers or purchase the Many Marvelous Markers case, which includes all 38 colors in our color collections (except Whisper White and Very Vanilla) in one sturdy case and empty space to store the In-Color Markers.* Dual tipped markers: 0.5 mm fine point and flexible brush * Set of 38, packaged in rigid plastic case with handle * Includes colors from all 4 color collections (does not include Whisper White or Very Vanilla) * Odorless, water-based dye ink * Coordinate with Classic Stampin’ Pads and exclusive Stampin’ Up! cardstock If you purchase the case of Many Marvelous Markers for $110 during Sale-a-Bration, you will be able to select TWO free items from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. Win/win!!!! I used various Stampin’ Write markers to color, but Stampin’ Up! offers other coloring tools. Use what you love and have fun coloring! Jar of Love Stamp Set Welcome! I’m excited to announce that I have been accepted to participate in the Stamp Review Crew! The “Stamp Review Crew” is a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who work together to bring you ideas using different stamp sets on the first and third Mondays of the month. Today’s Jar of Love Photopolymer Stamp Set card is my first for the “Stamp Review Crew,” and I’m excited to welcome new visitors to my blog! You can read more about me and my stamping endeavors on my About Me page. At the end of this post, you’ll see two buttons. One says”Next Blog,” which brings you to the next blog in the Stamp Review Crew’s Jar of Love Blog Hop. The other buttong says “Previous Blog,” which brings you to the blog that is right before mine in the Blog Hop. Blog Hops are fun and provide you with tons of ideas, so please follow along! Now…on to the card! Stampin’ Up!’s new Jar of Love Stamp Set reminds me of collecting fireflies on warm humid nights in New Jersey in the summertime. The Jar of Love Stamp Set and its coordinating Everyday Jars Framelits Dies are perfect for making cards and projects that elicit the same feelings of hominess that I feel whenever I see glass canning jars full of flowers, fruits and other delicious foods, or bugs like the fireflies I mentioned. Take a look at all of the stamps that are included in both the stamp set and the framelits set. They are such a value when you consider that the stamp set includes 37 (THIRTY SEVEN!) stamps for only $27.00! That’s less than $1.00 per stamp! The framelits set contains 17 dies for $33.00, which is about $2.00 per die. As if that weren’t enough of a value, guess what??? You can bundle (purchase both together) the stamp set AND the framelits and save 10%!! (For the bundle deal, order HERE.) The projects that you can create with these products are endless. Just change the Designer Series Paper and the color combinations that you incorporate into your project to change the look and feel of the stamp set. You can make Christmas projects, fall projects, little fishy projects, and on and on! In addition to the Jar of Love Stamp Set and the Everyday Jars Framelits Dies to create my card, I used the following supplies:
