Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies
Today is the first day of summer for the rest of the world, but where I live in south Florida, we experience summer year-round. Not only does summer equal fun in the sun, but summer also means weddings! We have already attended three weddings and we have two more to go. I created today’s wedding card using Stampin’ Up!’s new Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies. I love these new floral dies! Look at how gorgeous they are. It’s like creating your own doilies. They might just be my most favorite Stampin’ Up! Thinlits Dies ever. In addition to the dies, I love the coordinating Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper. I don’t think I have ever created a card using the navy and white color scheme.
Just look at the details in the dies! They are super easy to create using the Big Shot and the Precision Base Plate. The Precision Base Plate is a must with intricate dies like the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies. The Precision Base Plate makes the detailed cuts with ease and makes it easy for the tiny pieces to pop right out.
In addition to using navy and white, I also used a technique that I haven’t used in ages: heat embossing. Look closely at the “Wedding Wishes” sentiment. I used silver embossing powder and the heat tool to create the embossed tag. (The sentiment is from the fabulous Rose Wonder Photopolymer Stamp Set and the tag is a die from the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies. All items are pictured below and are available to order. I hope you enjoy your first days of summer and that you create some fabulous wedding cards with your Stampin’ Up! products!
