The 4th of July has come and gone, but these flowers that I made using Stampin’ Up!’s Fringe Scissors are as exciting as fireworks! The best part is that they are so easy to make. I made mine using paper from the Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack and the new Cherry on Top Cotton Paper Assortment, but you can easily use any color combo to make cute centerpieces for your special event; think Blushing Bride or Soft Sky for a baby shower! How cute would that be?
Supplies:
Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack
Cherry on Top Cotton Paper Assortment
Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape
Purchased small wooden skewers
Purchased small metal bucket
How-To:
Cut strips of paper 1-3/4″ x varying lengths
Use the fringe scissors to cut along the length of the strips and stop 1/4″ from the end like this:
Run a strip of the new Tear and Tape Adhesive along the 1/4″ line like this:
Place the skewer at the end of the strip and roll tightly until the entire strip is rolled onto the skewer like this:
Fluff the fringe
Decorate the skewer with washi tape
I placed mine in a small tin bucket. You can use yours however you would like! I think they look like giant appetizer toothpicks. Make a bunch and use them to add some firework effects at your next party!
