Pop of Paradise

My oldest daughter Adrienne has been obsessed with flamingos forever.  From a flamingo wallet to a flamingo shower curtain, she has it all.  She was absolutely thrilled when I showed her the new Pop of Paradise stamp set from the new Stampin’ Up! 2016-17 Annual Catalog.  She is smitten.

Don’t you just want to have a tropical party?  I love when I can look at a stamp set and the images immediately put me in a certain mood.  I just want to go outside with a fun tropical (non-alcoholic) drink and lay by the pool and soak up the sun!  I can just feel the tropical breeze and smell of coconut oil, can’t you?  Luckily, I live in paradise and I can look out my window and see palm trees every day!

I wanted to create a card that also created a certain mood, but I didn’t want the card to be too frilly.  I wanted a chic flamingo to go along with Stampin’ Up!’s new Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper that has a combination of Basic Black, Melon Mambo, and Whisper White colors.  I added a piece of Gold Foil and a bow along with a few gold sequins to really add a high-fashion statement to the card.

 

Sometimes I like cards that don’t have a sentiment.  With this design using the Pop of Paradise stamp set and the Pop of Pink Specialty Designer Series Paper, this card has limitless potential!  Take a look at all of the fun new products I used to create this chic flamingo card:
