Party Wishes Stamp Set

Party Wishes Stamp Set Look at the fun card you can create with the Party Wishes Stamp Set from the It’s My Party Collection in the 2016 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog!  Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who attended the Fall 2015 OnStage Global Event created the first part of the card – the Designer Series Paper, the Happy Birthday sentiment, the punched balloon, cupcakes, and candle, and the Baker’s Twine – during one of the event presentations.  When I returned home, I added what we created to the Mint Macaron card stock to finish off the project. You’ll notice that I used the Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to add dimension and texture to the Mint Macaron card base.  (Take a look at the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that is part of the It’s My Party Suite on the card I showed you yesterday HERE.  Dimension on a card is fabulous, isn’t it?!) In my post yesterday, I also mentioned that one of the reasons why I love the Party Wishes Stamp Set and the entire It’s My Party Collection is because the images, patterns, and colors are perfect for creating unisex birthday cards.  I made today’s card a little more feminine by adding half of a Tea Lace Paper Doily to the bottom of the card to show you an easy alternative. Let’s talk about the adorable cupcakes, balloons, and candle, shall we???  How cute are they?!?!?!?!  I love them! After I stamped the images, I used the corresponding punches from the Party Punch Pack (sold in a bundle with the Party Wishes Stamp Set HERE) to punch them.  I love, love, love these new punches!  You’ll notice that the punches punch the exact size of each image – there is NO border!  You get a perfectly punched image every time without having to worry about making sure the border is even around the entire image.  Yea!! NOW is the time to order the products in the It’s My Party Collection!  For every $50 you spend, you can order FREE Stampin’ Up! products from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.  Woo Hoo!!!  Free stuff!!

It’s My Party

It’s My Party Birthday Card The new “It’s My Party” stamps, paper, and embellishments in Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions Catalog (link on sidebar) make it easy to create simple yet elegant birthday cards.  This week, I’ll be showing you a variety of birthday cards that you can create with Stampin’ Up!’s It’s My Party products.  The first thing I love about the It’s My Party collection is that the patterns and colors make it easy to create unisex birthday cards. See what i mean?  Just change the color combos of the Baker’s Twine Combo Pack and the the It’s My Party Enamel Dots and this card would work perfectly for a man or a woman.            The second thing I like about the It’s My Party Collection is that not only can you use the Enamel Dots to make a unisex card, but you also can easily add dimension and texture to your projects both with the Enamel Dots and with the  Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that is part of the product suite.  I love our Textured Impressions Embossing Folders!  One of the fun things that I love about the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is how well the pattern coordinates with the patterns in the Its My Party Designer Series Paper Pack.            Who wouldn’t love to receive this card in the mail, right?  Let’s take a look at all of the fun products I used to create this card. Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog Remember, for every $50 in product that you purchase between now and March 31st, you can receive FREE Stampin’ Up! products from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure!  If you want even MORE FREE stuff, sign up to be a demonstrator!  Send me an email to ask me how!!!

Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder The WOW factor on today’s Wildflower Fields card is the flower that I punched using the Fun Flower punch. Before I punched the flower and the flower’s center, I ran the card stock through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Take a look at my short video explanation: I ran out of Hello Honey card stock, so for my Fun Flower I substituted Daffodil Delight.  That’s one of the many reasons why I love Stampin’ Up! products!  The colors coordinate with each other beautifully!  Even though Hello Honey is a deeper, richer, yellow, Daffodil Delight does the trick of pulling out all of the wonderful colors in the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper.  I absolutely love all the colors in Stampin’ Up!’s Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper.  I think my favorite color is Blackberry Bliss.  I love how it adds drama to the subtle colors of Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, and Calypso Coral. The “hello” sentiment is from the “Hello” stamp set which is available for FREE until February 15th as part of Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-Bration promotion.  For every increment of $50 you spend on Stampin’ Up! products, you can select one free item from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Fun, fun, fun!  Now is the time to stock up on consumable items like Tear and Tape Adhesive, Fast Fuse, Glue Dots, and Dimensionals.  I buy enough of these items during Sale-a-Bration to last throughout the year and I am rewarded with TONS of free Sale-a-Bration stuff! Here’s a slideshow of the items I used to create today’s “Hello” card: Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog Be sure to check out the first two cards in my “Wildflower Fields” series of cards HERE and HERE.  Thanks for looking!

Easy Masculine Valentine Card

Easy Masculine Valentine Card Here is an easy masculine Valentine card that you can whip together in just a few minutes.  It’s always a challenge for me to make masculine cards, probably because of the lack of bling that I can use.  However, with this easy masculine Valentine card you’ll see that I was able to sneak in a little bit of bling by adding a couple of sequin hearts. 🙂 To make the card a little more interesting, I used the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to add texture to the front of the card.  Additionally, instead of adhering the airplane and sentiment directly onto the front of the card, I used the Ovals Collection Framelits.  I centered one of the larger ovals on the Smoky Slate card stock and die cut the oval in the center.  If you look closely in the photo below, you’ll be able to see that the red layer and the airplane/sentiment are actually attached to the inside of the card.  More interesting than just a regular card, right? So you see, it IS possible to make a masculine card while still being creative.  What a relief! I also love, love, love the Sky is the Limit stamp set that I used!  Look at the variety of stamps that come in this FREE SET! Yes, I said FREE SET! Just place an order of $50 or more before tax/shipping and you can select the Sky is the Limit stamp set as your Sale-a-Bration promotion set.  Act quickly, though.  Even though Sale-a-Bration runs until March 31st, the Sky is the Limit stamp set is only available until February 15th.  Isn’t that little trailing smoke/heart adorable?! Check out the 2016 Occasions Catalog for more Valentine’s Day products and projects.  Don’t forget about our Annual Catalog, too! (Link in sidebar)  Check out Paper Pumpkin, too!  Take advantage of the current three month/$55 special and not only will you receive three monthly surprise kits in the mail, but you’ll also qualify for a Sale-a-Bration item! Take a look at the slideshow below to see the products that I used to make this easy masculine Valentine card. Also, as you can see from the stamp set, you can easily change the sentiment to make this a birthday card, an encouragement card, or a congratulations card.  So fun! Happy New Year!

It’s a brand new year and that means it’s only a few days until you can get FREE Stampin’ Up! products!!  January 5th is the big day!  Not only can you begin to order from the wonderful Stampin’ Up! 2016 Occasions Catalog, BUT …you can also earn wonderful FREE products during Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-Bration promotion.  It’s a win-win!  Here is a sneak peek at one of the lovely cards you can create with all new items from the Occasions Catalog, just in time to get a jump-start on your Valentine’s Day cards. I used so many fun new items to create this beautiful die cut heart. First, I used the new Precision Base Plate with my Sizzix Big Shot to cut the Bloomin’ Hearts Framelits Die heart.  If you don’t own the Precision Base Plate product yet, get it now!  Get the Big Shot Die Brush, too!  Stay tuned for my YouTube video where I’ll show you WHY you need these two items.  The Precision Base Plate does just what its name implies…it cuts the image with precision.  Look at the heart in the photo below.  See all of those intricate cuts?  It was so easy to cut the Bloomin’ Heart with the Precision Base Plate because the steel plate was created to work along with the Big Shot to make fine cuts.  The Big Shot Die Brush makes it a snap to remove all of the fine cut pieces from the image once you’ve cut it.  Look for all three products in the Occasions Catalog on pages 16 and 19. Did you notice the beautiful Blushing Bride Satin Ribbon and the fun little Blushing Bride Candy Dots in the center of the flowers?  Hold onto your seats!  These fun items are from the adorable Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit! Take a look: Can you even stand it?!?!?! It’s only a few more days until you can see the entire 2016 Occasions Catalog in its entirety.  In addition, the Sale-a-Bration catalog will also be revealed!  It’s too much goodness!! October 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternate Idea Number Two: Add Some Texture

I like to make projects that are out-of-the-box, especially when I can use my creativity to come up with alternative uses for the contents that come in each month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit.  However, for one of this month’s cards, I didn’t need to go too crazy.  All I did was add some texture to the background of the “Thanks” card.  Take a look: I used the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Background Folder and then assembled the card according to the wonderful instruction brochure that is included with every Paper Pumpkin Kit. The Paper Pumpkin Kit for October 2015 also includes envelopes that are specially sized to fit the three different sizes of cards that are included in the kit.  I used the Envelopes Liners Framelits Dies to cut fun coordinating envelope liners from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack available in the Annual Catalog. Aren’t these color combinations fantastic? Did you know that you can order previously-released Paper Pumpkin Kits and their respective refill kits?  You can!  Click HERE for the details.  It’s never too late to get in on the Paper Pumpkin action. Be sure to check back Monday for a fun tip on how to use Stampin’ Up!’s clear acrylic blocks to make your stamping projects go much faster.  I’ll be showing you the fun tip and how you can use it to make the card below from the October 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  See you then!
