Playful Pals Stamp Set ~ Cute Cards for Kids! I have had the Playful Pals Stamp Set for several months now and I finally found some time to pull it out and make some really cute cards for kids. I am a big fan of handwritten notes, and I believe it is really important to teach children how to write handwritten cards and thank you notes and MAIL THEM! I remember my mother teaching me how to write thank you notes when I was little. I think that is one of the reasons why I love cards and stationery so much today. Check out some of the cute animals you can create with the Playful Pals Stamp Set. I also used the Pyramid Pals Thinlits Dies to make it a snap to cut the body parts. NOTE: there is NOT a corresponding die for every body part. For example, you can only die cut the elephant’s ear and the frog’s leg for one side. There are two different stamps, one for the right side and one for the left side, but the die only cuts the body part for the left side. Just use your paper snips to cut the corresponding body part. Of course I had to add googly eyes to my animals to make them even cuter! NOW is a great time to teach kids the importance of handwritten notes. Make several of these Playful Pals cards WITH your kids and/or grandkids and have them bring a thank you card to their teachers on the first day of school, or make a pack of cards for the teacher. Win, win!!
Washi Tape Card How-To It took me a little while to fall in love with washi tape, but now that I have, look out! Wahsi tape is another new obsession of mine! Take a look at my quick one minute video to see how easy it is to make a really cool card in no time with three strips of washi tape. I love the Night of Navy and Whisper White color combinations of the Florial Boutique Designer Series Paper, and the coordinating Floral Boutique Washi Tape that I used to make this butterfly “Just Because” card adds the perfect amount of dramatic effect and flair to any card or project. Here are some thumbnails of other cards I have made with washi tape: Take a look at a slideshow of all of the washi tape that Stampin’ Up! has available in the 2016-17 Annual Catalog: And last but not least, a slideshow of the products I used to create the “Just Because” card: I know, I know! It’s My Party Treat Bag Pocket Card Isn’t this “It’s My Party” Treat Bag Pocket Card adorable??? I have to admit that when I first saw the color combos that are part of the It’s My Party Suite in the 2016 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog, I was a little worried. The stark contrast of Basic Black with Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron was a little bewildering to me: However, I’m so glad that I was able to see all of the products in the collection in person at the 2015 OnStage Global Event. I knew immediately once I saw everything with my own eyes that I needed to have it all!! I mentioned in my previous posts this week HERE and HERE that one of the things I love the most about the It’s My Party Product Suite is that the colors are perfect for cards and projects for both men and women. Today’s It’s My Party Treat Bag Pocket Card is no exception. If you don’t like the Melon Mambo, just use Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight, and Sahara Sand. It’s that easy to make this card unisex. The It’s My Party Washi Tape is so colorful and versatile. It’s so easy to add a belly-band to any card or project with Washi Tape for obvious reasons. There is no need to cut and score; just put the tape around the center and cut it to fit, like I did in today’s It’s My Party Treat Bag Pocket Card. That’s it! Check out the great colors in the It’s My Party Washi Tape Collection: You can add an extra bit of pizzazz to your cards and projects when you use Stampin’ Up!’s mini clothespins with the It’s My Party Enamel Dots. Take a look at how I used both on my It’s My Party Treat Bag Pocket Card: Ahhh!!! I just love this It’s My Party Collection so much! Can you tell???? Here is a complete list of the products I used to make this card: Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog
Party Wishes Stamp Set Look at the fun card you can create with the Party Wishes Stamp Set from the It’s My Party Collection in the 2016 Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog! Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who attended the Fall 2015 OnStage Global Event created the first part of the card – the Designer Series Paper, the Happy Birthday sentiment, the punched balloon, cupcakes, and candle, and the Baker’s Twine – during one of the event presentations. When I returned home, I added what we created to the Mint Macaron card stock to finish off the project. You’ll notice that I used the Large Polka Dot Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to add dimension and texture to the Mint Macaron card base. (Take a look at the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that is part of the It’s My Party Suite on the card I showed you yesterday HERE. Dimension on a card is fabulous, isn’t it?!) In my post yesterday, I also mentioned that one of the reasons why I love the Party Wishes Stamp Set and the entire It’s My Party Collection is because the images, patterns, and colors are perfect for creating unisex birthday cards. I made today’s card a little more feminine by adding half of a Tea Lace Paper Doily to the bottom of the card to show you an easy alternative. Let’s talk about the adorable cupcakes, balloons, and candle, shall we??? How cute are they?!?!?!?! I love them! After I stamped the images, I used the corresponding punches from the Party Punch Pack (sold in a bundle with the Party Wishes Stamp Set HERE) to punch them. I love, love, love these new punches! You’ll notice that the punches punch the exact size of each image – there is NO border! You get a perfectly punched image every time without having to worry about making sure the border is even around the entire image. Yea!! NOW is the time to order the products in the It’s My Party Collection! For every $50 you spend, you can order FREE Stampin’ Up! products from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. Woo Hoo!!! Free stuff!!
It’s My Party Birthday Card The new “It’s My Party” stamps, paper, and embellishments in Stampin’ Up!’s Occasions Catalog (link on sidebar) make it easy to create simple yet elegant birthday cards. This week, I’ll be showing you a variety of birthday cards that you can create with Stampin’ Up!’s It’s My Party products. The first thing I love about the It’s My Party collection is that the patterns and colors make it easy to create unisex birthday cards. See what i mean? Just change the color combos of the Baker’s Twine Combo Pack and the the It’s My Party Enamel Dots and this card would work perfectly for a man or a woman. The second thing I like about the It’s My Party Collection is that not only can you use the Enamel Dots to make a unisex card, but you also can easily add dimension and texture to your projects both with the Enamel Dots and with the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder that is part of the product suite. I love our Textured Impressions Embossing Folders! One of the fun things that I love about the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is how well the pattern coordinates with the patterns in the Its My Party Designer Series Paper Pack. Who wouldn’t love to receive this card in the mail, right? Let’s take a look at all of the fun products I used to create this card.
